Trained and supervised in Emotionally Focused Therapy, Kayla sees individuals, couples and families. Her goal is to create a healing space for her clients where they can be seen, heard, and understood. We all find ourselves stuck sometimes- in relationships with others, and in relationship with ourselves. Kayla believes that the vulnerable process of therapy can help us get unstuck and find healing. To quote one of Kayla’s favorite authors Brene Brown, “Vulnerability sounds like truth and feels like courage. Truth and courage aren’t always comfortable, but they’re never weakness.”
Kayla completed her undergraduate degree in Interpersonal Communications and her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Trevecca Nazarene University. She has completed the EFT Externship, Core Skills Training, and receives EFT supervision. She is also Prepare Enrich Certified for premarital couples. Kayla is a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), as well as the International Center for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy.
