The 2-day marital intensive takes place at Midbar Ranch, located in the beautiful setting in rural Rutherford County, Tennessee. 

Housing is provided in a nice furnished apartment found on the property. Couples typically arrive the night before of the morning of the first day. The sessions begin at 9:00am each day and the total session time for the two-day experience is 12-14 hours. 

Emotionally Focused Therapy is the model of therapy that will be followed. EFT views the central problem in a distressed relationship as the loss of a secure emotional connection and the pattern of negative interactions that both reflects and perpetuates this loss. EFT helps partners take control of their negative interactions. EFT is about helping couples have a new emotional experience of secure connection, a sense that the other person can be Accessible, Responsive & Engaged (A.R.E.).
